SEVERAL CLUBS used the opportunity of the mid-term break to make up on lost time, with Shelburne in particular playing four games at various age groups. At Under-16 they played out a 1-1 draw at home to St. Joseph's, with Patrice Lawlor scoring for the home side and Laura Warren replying for St. Joseph's. U-12 took centre stage on Wednesday, with St. Leonards beating Kilmore 3-0 in their re-fixed league match courtesy of two goals from Niamh Foran and one from Ciara Ryan.

Glen Celtic were too strong for Shelburne, winning 6-0, with a hat-trick from Amy Banville, two from Laura Burns and one from Noeleen Shanahan.

On Thursday, Courtown Hibs Under-12s made the long trip to Duncannon and took the points with a 2-1 win, while Shelburne travelled to St. Cormac's in Under14 and lost 8-2.

Kate Cullen and Gina Foley scored for the visitors while four goals from Amy Walsh, three from Michelle Gahan and one from Niamh Gahan gave the Boolavogue side the points.

Duncannon B were away to All Blacks B and won 3-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Dani Odham, while Lara Lee scored for the home team.

On Friday morning Shelburne capped off a poor run of results while losing 3-0 away to St. Joseph's, with Vicky Burke scoring all three.

In the delayed Under-10 Cup game, Corach Ramblers made the long journey to Bunclody and progressed to the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win, with Cassie Murphy scoring both goals in a very closely-contested tie.
