STERLING SERVICE REWARDED

Seana Ghael recipient John Wafer (Ballygarrett) at Sunday's presentation in Ferrycarrig Hotel with Dan Wafer, Gavin Wafer and Kaye Rickwood.
very exciting fundraiser in the coming weeks with the first hosting of the Celtic Link Duncannon 10 km. run or walk on Sunday, February 26.
This is being run in conjunction with Run Ireland and is likely to attract a lot of interest from all of the counties of the south-east of Ireland, and also a large Wexford interest with athletics in the Model county on a high at the moment.
Entry for the event is €20 and whether you're the serious athlete or want to use the event to burn off the Christmas excess, this is promising to be a fun and competitive event.

Matthew O'hanlon and Kevin O'grady were rewarded for their heroics with the Wexford Under-21 football team last season when the talented duo, who both played vital roles in the county capturing their first-ever title, were presented with their medals at a reception held in the Ferrycarrig Hotel recently.
Indeed, there is no rest for the intercounty stars from St. James' as Matthew O'hanlon continues hard training with the Wexford Senior hurlers and the Wexford Under-21 football team for the coming season while also being heavily involved in U.C.D. G.A.A. also.
Three other St. James' players are currently involved with the Under-21 Wexford football team as John Ryan, Robbie Barron and Jack O'brien have been involved in trial games over the past few weeks.
Kevin O'grady and Graeme Molloy both lined out for the Wexford Senior footballers in the O'byrne Cup game against Meath on Sunday last in Navan. Kevin is also preparing for the Trench Cup with his college, W.I.T., while Brendan Doyle is only days away from making a return to full competitive action for Wexford after undergoing a shoulder operation towards the end of last season. Daniel Keating is also hoping to wear the purple and gold jersey for the county in the coming season with the Minor football team.
