O'Brien best in pool final
AFTER WEEKS of pool cues being polished and blue chalk dust everywhere the final of the Community Development Project's annual pool tournament finally arrived.
The excitement was palpable as all gathered to watch Martin (Hotshot) Cunningham take on Greg (Dark Horse) O'Brien.
After sizing up the opposition and a few friendly games to warm up the tournament began. The game was refereed by Vincie Canning.
Greg was three nil up when the players took a break. After the break Greg continued his sterling performance to be four nil up. Martin then made a dramatic comeback to win the next two games to bring the score to 4-2.
Despite Martin's comeback Greg went on to win the match 5-2.
