Model-making gets busy programme up and running
A VERY happy and prosperous new year to each and everyone who will compete in the Community Games activities for the coming year.
I do hope all are relaxed following the break from competing and are now ready and eager to get on with the new season's activities.
It's going to be a busy one yet again, and the first event for 2012 will be taking place this coming weekend, so do keep focused by reading all about Community Games in the weekly papers.

Our wish for the new year is that each Area be represented at the county meetings which take place approximately every five-six weeks.
All relevant correspondence is given out at these meetings and problems and views are discussed.
With the indoor team events now geting into full swing, let me remind all Area Secretaries that they can download panel sheets from the Community Games website - www.communitygames.
Panel sheets to be completed and sent to either Eilish Kehoe, Rosewood House, Bulgan, Glynn, Enniscorthy, or Colette Steele, Bulgan, Glynn, Enniscorthy, seven days before the commencement of a game.
They are not to be sent to the county Secretary.
Managers sending in the panel sheets for the indoor soccer competitions should note that the county has decided that they can forward a panel sheet with the full list of players or just put five names on it and on the day of competition add the other three names.
However, the final three children must have their birth certs. with them on the day, otherwise they will not be allowed to play.
This change, which is on a trial basis, only applies to indoor soccer and not to any other event.
In regard to the solo events - solo singing, recitation, solo modern dance and solo music - there is still time for Areas to forward entries. The closing date for these events is January 31.
Please also note that the semi-finals of the Under-15 boys' handball competitions must be played on or before January 24.
The date had not been fixed at the time of the draws.
A reminder that the first county meeting for 2012 will take place on Monday next, January 16, in the Ferrycarrig Hotel at 8 p.m.
All Areas are earnestly requested to have at least one delegate present to ensure that all the relevant information is passed on as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
DIARY DATES
Saturday, January 14: county modelmaking finals in Craanford. Registration is at 10 a.m.
Monday, January 16: county meeting in the Ferrycarrig Hotel at 8 p.m.
Sunday, January 22: county indoor soccer (boys) competitions in Bunclody, commencing at 9.30 a.m. with registration.
Sunday, January 30: finals.
Monday, January 31: closing date for receipt of entries for solo music, singing, dancing, recitation.
Sunday, February 5: county indoor soccer (girls) competitions in Bunclody, with registration at 9.30 a.m.
