Galway chosen as All-Ireland venue
Wednesday March 10 2010
A MEETING of the H.P.A.I. took place in Carlow on Tuesday last, and among the items up for discussion was the venue that would hold some of the All-Ireland championships.
Galway was decided upon as the venue and it will be run over the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of August. That Saturday will see the All-Ireland doubles held, with the All-Ireland club and All-Ireland county on Sunday.
There will also be local doubles on the preceding Friday, before the main events get under way, for anyone who's interested.
Deposits were taken from people who will be travelling to Leeds for the international event which takes place in May.
In the A.G.M. notes, Seán Owens was listed as Assistant Secretary when he's actually the Assistant Treasurer.
The next meeting will take place on April 7 in Carlow.
