Division 2 crown secured in style
THERE WAS yet more success for Wexford under-age teams in the Leinster inter-county championships, with the county Under-13 squad securing the Division 2 title in Kilkenny.
Increase in numbers at cross-country
ADAMSTOWN WAS the venue for the county finals of the cross-country events recently. For many years now, the entries have been very disappointing indeed, but there was a marked increase in numbers attending this year.

Road races in Bridgetown on Sunday
THE COUNTY Wexford Masters and Novice road race championships take place this coming Sunday (March 14) in Bridgetown. This is the first time that a county championship race has been held in the village and it will be hosted by Kilmore A.C.

A MEETING of the H.P.A.I. took place in Carlow on Tuesday last, and among the items up for discussion was the venue that would hold some of the All-Ireland championships.

THE 39th annual general meeting of the Community Games movement was held in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone, recently.

Graiguenamanagh Rowing Club were in Carlow last weekend for the Carlow Rowing Club Head of River. The rowing conditions were excellent and some very good performances were recorded, including Jim Ryan winning the men's novice single scull in fine style.
