THE WEXFORD Minor footballers travelled to Dundalk on Saturday last where they played the first round of the Leinster League. It was a tight, end-to-end game which eventually went the way of the hosts following a strong second-half display. Wexford opened the game well with the midfield pairing, Dean Wright and Colm Kehoe, ensuring a good supply of ball for the forwards.

THE WEXFORD Intermediate camogie team are within one victory of a place in the National League Division 2 final following a comprehensive win over Galway in St. Patrick's Park, Enniscorthy, on Saturday afternoon last. The victory was as straightforward as the scoreline suggests as the visitors failed to register a second-half score with Wexford in completely dominant form.
Murphy's magical strike seals victory
PAUL MURPHY grabbed a wonderful 60th-minute goal to hand his side a sensational victory over warm favourites A.U.L. in this excellent Oscar Traynor Trophy quarter-final clash at the New Ross club grounds on Saturday afternoon last. Although the football was free-flowing with both sides enjoying some excellent passages of play, it was always going to be a single strike that would decide which side would go through to a semi-final with the Defence Forces.
