CHRISTMAS must be just around the corner because Rathnure pantomime society is almost ready to take to the stage with their 15th production. 'Goldilocks and the Three Sisters: A Totally Divine Experience' will present a brand new script from the fevered imaginations of producers John Reilly and Liam Sharkey.

This most spectacular of shows at the Rackard memorial complex promises to pick up where the original Goldilocks story leaves off, with added kidnapping, extortion, jokes, extravagant special effects and a crazy convent. Stars of the piece include Jade Mullett as Goldilocks herself, with John Reilly as the evil Priscilla and Liam Sharkey as the Count Pepperoni Pasta.

Shannon Wilson makes an appearance as Baby Bear, providing a link of sorts with the traditional tale, while among the nuns on stage are Philip Howlin, Vera Binions, Kate Grace and David Lennon.

Bookings are already being taken for the panto, which runs for a record breaking thirteen nights from December 6 to 22, in Rathnure.
