New Ross company is behind Leabhar Power

A NEW ROSS company launched this year's Leabhar Power initiative as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge in Dublin Zoo last week.
Angel Marketing helped launch the campaign, which aims to promote Irish language books in Dublin Zoo on Friday afternoon, with the help of Leabhar Power Peadar, who was made by Buí Bolg and Richie Ó hEadhra, Language Development Officer for Wexford.
Leabhar Power is calling on everyone to have a go at reading one of the hundreds of Irish language books available as Gaeilge in the run up to and during Seachtain na Gaeilge, which will be running from now until St. Patrick's Day.
Those taking part locally so far include Chef Kevin Dundon, Deputy Sean Connick, Presenter Shane Dunphy and RTE's Damien Tiernan.
The highlight of the campaign this year is the Club Leabhar – an Irish language book club where you can get help on reading your choice of Irish language book from the Club Leabhar selection.
Club Leabhar mediator Richie Ó hEadhra is on hand to help online, if needed at www.leabharpower.com.
Leabhar Power is organised by CLÉ – the Irish Book Publishers' Association with support from Foras na Gaeilge, the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and ÁIS.
