Hospital funds boost

A FURTHER ¤4,020 of a funding boost was presented to New Ross Community Hospital's Hoist Appeal last week when Lake Region Medical handed over the proceeds of their recent fashion show.
A cheque was presented by John Harris, the managing director of Lake Region Medical, to Anna Furlong, fundraising committee member for the hospital's Hoist Appeal, last Tuesday afternoon.
The 16 models from the Lake Region factory raised ¤2,000, while 400 the tickets, which were sold for ¤5 each brought in further funds and a raffle helped cover the expenses.
The fashion show, which featured clothes from Blossoms, Blonde Gemini, Bonita, Vero Moda (Cooper's Women's), Sebhael Lisi, Mister H Menswear, Scruples, Cooper's Menswear and Ryan's Golf and Sports Shop, was organised by Nicola Merrigan and Noel Hennessy from Lake Region's Fundraising Committee.
