WEXFORD GAA star Matty Forde (pictured) was disqualified from driving for three years at Gorey Court last week, after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The 30-year-old, with an address given as Ballyfad, Coolgreany, was charged with drink driving at Knockmullen, Gorey, on February 21 last year.
The court was told that Sergeant O'Leary stopped him driving a jeep at 2.35 a.m. and a urine test revealed 215 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of urine.
Solicitor Gerry Flynn said that his client is a single man with no previous convictions. His client was present in court, and apologised for his actions.
He asked for a short postponement to allow him to make arrangements in relation to his employment. The court was told he works as a sales person and 'would be on the road on a regular basis.'
Judge William Earley fined him ¤200, and disqualified him for three years, to take effect from May 1.
