THE ROSE OF TRALEE may be over for another year but the talent is only hotting up in Campile for the now annual Rose of Campile competition.
Now in its fourth year, this eagerly anticipated event will be taking place on Friday, September 10 in Whelan's Marquee, Campile, starting from 9 p.m.
Eight beautiful roses will all be in contention for the coveted Rose of Campile title, which last year went to the Ballyhack Rose, Jane Drought, who will be attending on the night with her escort Stephen Browne.
Brid Breen, who is sponsored by Campile AFC, will be gracing the stage on the night as the Campile Rose, while Jenny Kehoe, who is sponsored by BPM Records, is the New Ross Rose.
The Ballyhack Rose is Sarah Hearn, who is sponsored by JS Construction and the Fethard Rose is Harriette Lavery, who is sponsored by Alushield.
Jamie Buckley, who is sponsored by the Village Diner and Pizzeria, is the Adamstown/Cushinstown Rose, while Kathleen Lavery, sponsored by Castleview Catering, will be the Templetown Rose.
Representing Ramsgrange is Wendy Meyler, who is sponsored by Whelan's Bar, Campile and Leslie Roche, who is sponsored by Davitt's Bar, is representing Ballyanne.
The escorts include Matthew O'Hanlon, Kieran Browne, John Ryan, Alan Keating, Ethan Molloy, Paul Helme, Martin Nolan and Murt Murphy.
The Master of Ceremonies Donal Whelan will put all through their paces on the night.
Organised by the Campile Pipe Band as their annual fundraising event, the night is tipped to be just as entertaining as previous years, with celebrity judges deciding who will take home the coveted title.
This year's two main sponsors are Belinda's Health and Beauty Salon and Anna Furlong's Hair Salon on South Street, New Ross, who will both be on hand to do the girls hair and make-up.
The band south will provide the music and a raffle will also be held on the night.
Admission is free and your support would be greatly appreciated.
