A false alarm for firemen
TWO UNITS of New Ross Fire Service were dispatched to what was initially feared as a house fire in the Hook area on Saturday afternoon.
However, upon arriving at the scene fire fighters discovered that someone was burning materials after gutting a house. The fire was burning at the back of a house in the Kilbride area.
Meanwhile, one unit of the fire brigade was also called to a corn field that was on fire in the Bawnmore on Sunday.
