TULLOGHER/ ROSBERCON
ALL IRELAND GOLD: Congratulations and well done to Tullogher/Rosbercon team members, John Cotterell, Pat Hartley and Richie Dollard who played on the successful Kilkenny Intermediate hurling team who won the All Ireland Final last Saturday evening in Thurles. The "Cats" won comfortably in the end on a score line of 2-17 to Cork's 1-13 and where the switch of Hartley to centre back had a major bearing on the outcome as he nullified the previous threat posed by the Rebel's number eleven Cooper.
John Cotterell also had a fine game in defence whilst up front Richie Dollard did a lot of hard work scoring two valuable points and setting up Peter Cleere for the clinching goal.
PAKISTAN DISASTER APPEAL
There was a fantastic response to the recent church collection in aid of the suffering people of Pakistan whose plight has been vividly shown in the newspapers and on television. In Rosbercon Parish a grand total of €1,300 was contributed to aid and provide relief supplies to the region.

PRETTY WEDDING
Congratulations and best wishes go to Jane Quigley daughter of John and Mary of Ferndale, Garranbehy, who was married recently. The pretty ceremony took place at Glenville, Fermoy in County Cork where our local girl tied the knot with Glenville native, Denis Hegarty. Their two families and many friends join in wishing them all the best for their future happiness together.
GAA AND CAMOGIE
Lisdowney edged out Tullogher/Rosbercon by two points in the Junior B Kilkenny County Final at Nowlan Park on Sunday last. Behind by seven at one stage Tullogher fought back well but that elusive winning goal just would not come despite all the pressure they put on the Lisdowney defence.
It was better news from the Camogie team who won the County League Final at the weekend (Full report next week).
LOVELY CEREMONY
There was a lovely Mass ceremony and anointing of the sick for the over 55's in the Parish Hall last Sunday. Mass was concelebrated by Fr Dan Kavanagh assisted by Fr Michael Norton and visiting New York Navy Chaplain, Fr Damato.
The Parish Choir with their beautiful rendition of hymns enhanced the occasion and there were refreshments served and a musical interlude took place afterwards.
