SUICIDE TALK
Raheen Family Resource Centre in conjunction with The Regional Suicide Resource Office intend running a workshop entitled "Suicide Talk" in The Horse and Hound Ballinaboola on Thursday 1st March commencing at 9.30am. Suicidetalk is a 3 hour presentation that invites interested community members to become more aware of suicide prevention opportunities in their community.
Suicidetalk invites participants to explore attitudes about suicide. It recognises that, often, the first barrier to greater involvement may not be lack of knowledge or skills but anxiety and fear. The purpose of this exploration is to provide an opportunity each participant to decide whether suicide should be talked about directly, openly and honestly. Its aim is to make such talk in any context easier. The workshop will be facilitated by Agatha Lawless from the Regional Suicide Resource Office. For further information or to book a place contact Lynda or Bridget at 051-428805.
