RAHEEN FC
Raheen FC began their 2010 - 2011 division 3 campaign away to Caim on Sunday (29th). The team has been strengthened with young players, David McEvoy and Enda Wickham, making their debut for the club and the return of Eoin Leacy and veterans Paul Curtis and Brendan Lawlor from injury adding a mixture of experience with youth.
Decked out in the new Moloney Windows sponsored kit, Raheen encountered a tough and unyielding side in Caim. Both sides had chances to take the lead but as the final minutes approached it seem as if the points would be divided until a moment of magic from Mervyn Moloney. He broke through the Caim Defence and continued on finding the net in style claiming all 3 points.
Raheen are at home to Courtown Hibs on Sunday (5th) at 2pm.
