ROSBERCON UNITED

The Youths were the first Rosbercon team in action for 2012 when they took on Duncannon in the Wexford Youths Cup on Saturday. They put in a great performance and gained victory on a scoreline of 4 goals to 3. Scorers were Dylan Egan, Shane Murray, Enny Moyajbe and Mickey Cullen.

Next up on Sunday morning, the Ateam took on Raheen United in the Wexford Cup. This was a ding dong affair, and Raheen took the lead early in the First half. They held onto this lead right up to the death, that was until Johnny Hanly stuck a leg out to guide the ball home for a deserved equalizer. This brought the game to extra time, and with the game heading for penalties, Raheen cruelly scored the winner to dump the locals from the cup.

The B-team lifted the club again however when they took on Cloughbawn b team also in the cup. Rosbercon dominated this game from start to finish and won on a scoreline of 5 goals to 2. Kevin Doyle helped himself to a Hat-rick, and Mickey Wall and Decci Walsh grabbing a goal apiece.

The Club would like to wish all its members and supporters, a happy new year.
