GAA CLUB FUNDRAISER: Cloughbawn GAA Club will hold their sponsored walk on September 4th at 2.30pm. This will be a fun day out for all the family commencing at the Complex, there will be a short walk for childre with a longer walk for adults.

So please come along on the day and walk or we would appreaciate it if you would sponsor someone to walk.

GAA ACTION

The Minors had a good win over Shamrocks in the County Quarter final 5-18 to 1-3 U 21 footballers beat the Duffry on Monday last score 1-9 to 1-4 and Monageer on Wednesday 1-17 to 1-06 in the 1st and 2nd round of the Championship.

The Senior team held on in Patrick's Park on Sunday to beat Shelimaliers by that vital one point to stay in the senior ranks next year, final score 2-10 to 1-12. Well done to all.

CONCERT EVENING

Local Soprano Joanne McCabe will be holding a concert on September 17th in St. Laurence's Church, Templeudigan. Proceeds will be used to further her studies as a lyric soprano with renowned Irish Soprano Deirdre Masterson and thus local support is needed. Tickets are on sale now and are available in Clonroche/ Poulpeasty from Barbara Kehoe & Frances McCabe or by calling 086 3984218.

Over the past years Joanne has made a valuable musical contribution in the parish in many capacities including volunteering with community games as manager of choir and group singing teams. Joanne is also a member of St clements church choir.

This promises to be a relaxed, enjoyable evening with local guests and a variety of music.
