GRANTSTOWN DAY CARE

Our annual trip to Our Lady's Island took place on Tuesday August 24. It was great to see such a lrge number attend the mass in the church and for those that were energetic enough we took it on board to walk around the island. Well done to all and thanks to all who helped in any way to make the trip so enjoyable. Betty thanks for the ice cream - it went down very well.

Get well wishes go out to Peter Colfer, Cullenstown who is unwell at this time. Hope you are feeling better Peter and will be back with us very soon.

Birthday wishes to Annie Murphy who is celebrating her birthday 21st plus VAT We also wish you well from Grantstown DCC.

Work on the new Treatment Rooms at Grantstown is progressing well.

FAS POSITION

A Fas position is available in Ballymitty Playgroup commencing October 2010, candidates must have an interest in children, willing to be Garda vetted and meet the Fas criteria. Application forms can be obtained from Ballymitty Playgroup on 051-561767.

Rota Mother Position available in Ballymitty Community Playgroup for rota mother. Person must have interest in children, willing to be Garda vetted, have an up to date first aid cert, apply in writing to Ballymitty Playgroup, Ballymitty, Co. Wexford, or phone 051-561767.

GRANTSTOWN CHURCH

There will be mass at 7.30pm followed by whist in the day care centre this Friday September 3.

PARISH NOTES

Can all notes for the paper please be left in by 4pm at the very latest into Bannow P.O. on Fridays.

CARRIG BRIDGE CLUB

The President would like to inform all members that the A.G.M. will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday the 7th September in Carrig on Bannow Community Hall.

The winners of last week's game were - 1st Aidan Colfer and Mary McNamara 2nd Marie O'Connor and Kathleen O'Farrell 3rd Claire Delaney and John Halpin.

TEACH NA NÓG

Teach na nÓg will have an "Open Day" this Friday 3rd of September for our new Playschool and Montessori pupils. Come along and meet our Teachers and view our premises. Playschool children (and parents) please come along at 9 to 11am, with Montessori pupils welcome between 12 and 3pm. Please note all Montessori places are now filled for 2010 / 11.

Teach na nÓg will re-open on Monday 6th September next for both Playschool and Montessori groups.
