Baking workshops
JOYCE'S HOME Centre is running one day baking workshops at their premises at New Ross Retail Park.
A beginner's cake decorating workshop with Aileen Ironside from Simply Cakes Ireland will take place on Saturday, February 25 from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. In this one day workshop, which costs €70, participants will learn how to create really beautiful cakes. As well as learning how to split, fill and ice your cake like a professional you wil find out how to give it those special finishing touches including crimping, iced ribbon bows, funky iced flowers, molded roses and leaves.
A cupcake workshop with Aileen Ironside will take place on Saturday, March 3 from 10.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. and will also cost €70. During this workshop you will learn the tricky art of the perfect piped swirl, as well as the secrets behind a professional sugar paste finish. You'll get to work with flower paste, cutters, modeling glitter and colours and best of all - you'll get to take your creations home.
Aileen Ironside will be hosting a chocolate workshop on Saturday, March 24 from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This workshop will cost €75 and during it your will learn how to temper chocolate, use chocolate moulds, make a gorgeous Easter Wrap Cake and make truffles and tempting Easter nibbles.
