Biggest games of 2012
GAMERS can hardly wait for the release of a glut of major titles in coming months. Here's our top ten most anticipated games of 2012:
10 Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Future Soldier is a step back towards the roots of the Ghost Recon games we all know and love. Minority Report-esque Kinect controls don't hurt its cause, either.
9 Uncharted: Golden Abyss From what we've already seen, Golden Abyss looks like everything you'd expect from an Uncharted game, and more. Golden Abyss will make its debut on the Playstation Vita handheld console in early 2012.
8 Guild Wars 2 Watch out, World of Warcraft - Guild Wars 2 is like nothing you've seen before. No subscription fees, an incredibly innovative party system and slick graphics will make this MMO one to watch out for in the coming year.
7 Bioshock Infinite Seriously, go and watch the trailers for this one, it looks freaking incredible. Lush, vibrant (for a change) environments combined with the twisted, floating world of 'Columbia' make this a serious departure from the previous Bioshock titles.
6 Halo 4 I'm just as surprised as you are on this one. Thought you'd seen the last of Master Chief? Think again. Check out the teaser trailer for newest fix of explosive Halo mayhem.
5 Diablo 3 Most of us thought we'd die of old age before seeing the release of Blizzard's Diablo 3, but it looks like the sequel to one of the most popular video games of all time will finally see a release in 2012.
4 Hitman: Absolution If you haven't played any Hitman games, go right ahead and do just that - and then maybe you'll be as excited as we are for the return of Agent 47.
3 Mass Effect 3 The sequel to 2010's incredible Game of the Year, Mass Effect 3 promises to be bigger, more intense and just as brilliantly cinematic as its predecessor.
2 Tomb Raider Square Enix is rebooting the Tomb Raider franchise in a visceral, violent way, injecting a new life into the almost-forgotten series.
1 The Last of Us Naughty Dog's upcoming post-apocalyptic adventure seems to have come out of absolutely nowhere, but if there success with Uncharted is anything to go by, The Last of Us could be frighteningly good.
