Festival to break record
WORLD RENOWNED Celtic music acts Altan and Kila will perform this weekend on a specially erected stage in South Street for the Celtic River Festival.
The international acts will be performing at the Charles Street intersection. A feast of traditional Irish music is in store for all, with the music programme starting at 2 p.m. each day.
Altan are on stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Kila on Sunday at 7 p.m.
A major feature will be the parade led by the world's largest puppet BRAN, which is coming from Wales for the weekend. This will be a Guinness Book of Record attempt for the largest human-operated puppet in the world.
